Connie Walker

Connie Walker has a strong background in the field of public radio. Connie began their career at WOSH in 1979, where they held various positions including News Director. Connie then worked at Wisconsin Public Radio as News Director from 1996 to 2005. Following that, they served as President of Public Radio News Directors Incorporated from 2001 to 2005. Connie then joined North Carolina Public Radio - WUNC as News Director from 2005 to 2008, before becoming the Interim Program Director from 2008 to 2009. In 2009, they became the President and General Manager of WUNC-FM 91.5FM North Carolina Public Radio, where they currently serve.

Connie Walker attended the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh from 1979 to 1983, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism and English. In May 2016, they also completed a certification program in Performance Measurement for Effective Management of Nonprofit Organizations from the Harvard Kennedy School Executive Education.
