Cate DeSousa

Cate DeSousa is a dedicated and skilled individual currently serving as a Student Sports Reporter for WUVA since September 2023, providing recaps of Virginia sporting events and producing multimedia content. Cate's previous experience includes a marketing internship at Amerigo Education, where a social media campaign won an award, and a marketing internship at 1919 Investment Counsel, focusing on content analysis and marketing communications. Additionally, Cate has worked as a Sales and Marketing Associate at Poor Cat Designs and a Production Assistant at ESPN, assisting in the setup and breakdown of equipment at live events. As a Student Athlete at the University of Virginia, Cate competes in Division 1 Cross Country and Track teams, earning academic honors in both Fall 2023 and Fall 2024. Currently pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Media Studies, Cate demonstrates a strong proficiency in both sports and marketing content creation.
