Kat Bolus is a seasoned multimedia journalist currently serving as a community reporter for the WVIA News team since February 2022. Prior to this role, Kat spent nearly a decade at The Scranton Times-Tribune, where responsibilities included extensive coverage as an education reporter, mid-valley/up valley reporter, and news/obituary clerk. This experience encompassed reporting on educational institutions, labor strikes, breaking news, and community issues. Kat's journalistic contributions also included reporting on significant political events like the 2016 presidential rallies and the Women’s March on Washington. A graduate of Temple University with a Bachelor of Arts in Communications, Journalism, Film, and Marketing, Kat began the professional journey following a distinguished high school career at West Scranton High School.
