Mark Ruddy

Chief Engineer at WVIA

Mark Ruddy began their work experience in 2002 as the Assistant to the Coordinator of Broadcast Operations at Marywood University, where they provided support for student equipment and instructional needs. Mark also played a key technical role in ensuring the functionality of the campus radio and television facilities. In 2004, Ruddy joined WVIA-TV as a Broadcast Engineer until 2010. During this time, they implemented new systems and produced unique programming for radio. From 2010 to 2012, Ruddy worked at QVC as part of the Engineering team, supporting live shows and collaborating with various production departments. In 2012, they returned to WVIA, initially serving as the Director of Technology before transitioning to the role of Chief Engineer in 2013.

Mark Ruddy attended Marywood University from 1999 to 2004, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Telecommunications (Broadcast).
