James Watson

James Watson has over 15 years of experience in development and foundation giving. James began their career at Shepherd University in 1994, where they served as Vice President for Development for a decade. In 2004, they transitioned to Radford University as the Assistant Vice President for Development. Four years later, in 2008, they joined West Virginia University Foundation, Inc where they currently hold the position of Director of Foundation Giving.

James Watson attended Shepherd College from 1964 to 1967, where they studied History without obtaining a degree. Later, from 1972 to 1980, they attended West Virginia University, where they earned a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in History.
