William Green

William Green currently serves as the Senior Vice President & Chief Development Officer at the West Virginia University Foundation, a position held since January 2025. Previously, from January 2017 to January 2025, William was the Vice President for Development at Rutgers University Foundation, where management of a team of 35 fundraising staff facilitated development for Rutgers Health’s eight schools and seven centers and institutes. William’s earlier roles include Executive Director: Clinical Support and Major Gifts at The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, overseeing a major gifts team, and Associate Vice President: Development and Major Gifts at Villanova University, where coordination of a major-gifts program included 35 gift officers and managed a budget over $200K. William's early career began as Director of Major Gifts at Penn Medicine, University of Pennsylvania Health System, focusing on the medical alumni program and fundraising strategies. William holds a Bachelor of Arts in English from Saint Joseph's University and further education from Penn State Great Valley.
