Allison Chi

Allison Chi has a diverse background in design and art direction. Allison began their career as a Design Intern at Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia in 2011, where they worked on editorial layout and typography. Following this, they interned at Black Frame, assisting with press releases and research. Allison then interned at The Museum of Modern Art, where they contributed to the design of print collateral and exhibitions. In 2013, they joined Perseus Books Group as a Junior Designer, progressing to the role of Designer, where they designed book covers and managed administrative tasks. In 2015, Allison became a Designer at Time Inc., designing book covers and interiors for lifestyle books. Allison joined Houghton Mifflin Harcourt in 2017 as a Senior Designer, focusing on culinary and lifestyle books, overseeing freelance designers, and directing photoshoots. Currently, Allison holds the position of Associate Art Director at W. W. Norton & Company, Inc., where they are responsible for art direction and design.

Allison Chi completed their Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) degree in Graphic Design from Boston University, where they attended from 2008 to 2012.
