Michael Bell

Michael Bell has a diverse work experience spanning from 2007 to the present. Michael started their career as a Fiction Editor for Ellipsis: literature and art, where they managed a team of eight readers and oversaw the publishing process. Michael then worked as a Customer Service Representative for the United States Census Bureau, where they successfully gathered sensitive data and maintained a high level of customer satisfaction. Michael also taught high school English at Rogers High School, where they developed curriculum, created lesson plans, and worked closely with students. In 2010, they became the Fiction Editor for Willow Springs Literary Magazine, where they trained and managed a team of fifteen, selected content, copy-edited, and communicated with authors. Michael also contributed as a writer for Bark: A Blog of Literature, Culture, and Art. Michael joined W. W. Norton & Company, Inc. in 2012 as a College Sales Representative, responsible for account management, market research, and sales presentations. Over the years, they took on various roles within the company, including Media Specialist, Manager of Customer Experience Specialists, and most recently Director of Customer Success. In their current position, Michael is responsible for implementing digital learning products, customer support, and customer retention, managing a team of 13 specialists.

Michael Bell completed their education with a Master of Fine Arts (MFA) degree in Creative Writing from Eastern Washington University, where they studied from 2010 to 2012. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in English from Westminster University, where they studied between 2006 and 2010. In addition to their formal education, Michael has also acquired additional certifications, including an Online Teaching Certificate Program Foundation Course from the Online Learning Consortium in July 2021.
