John Lee is an accomplished journalist with extensive experience in various roles within the media industry. Currently serving as a Baltimore County Reporter at WYPR since January 2014, John has held multiple positions throughout a prolific career that began in the 1980s. Notable roles include Freelance Journalist at NewsChannel 8 from 1996 to 2002, Managing Editor/Assignment Manager at WTVR-TV, and Assistant News Director at WVIR-TV. John held the title of News Director at both WSVA-AM/WQPO-FM and WJMA-AM/WVJZ-FM. Academic qualifications include a Master of Science in media management and a Bachelor of Science in Broadcast Journalism, both obtained from Virginia Commonwealth University.
