Rick Lyons

Rick is Co-Founder and Chief Revenue Officer for X-lumin Corporation. He is a thought leader and revenue generator with more than 25 years of experience as a highly valued executive within the data and telecommunications markets. He has worked extensively with operators and service providers to expand and improve Internet access around the world (both on and off the planet).

He had earlier served at PureWave Networks as Vice President of Sales, responsible for implementing solutions-based selling of hardware/network infrastructure equipment, cloud-based software, RF planning and professional services. He has held executive management positions with full P&L responsibility for both public and private companies, including Alvarion (ALVR) and Arescom Inc. where he led global sales, marketing, business development and systems engineering teams.

Rick has a passion for technology and sits on the Board of multiple companies including one who developed the industry’s first patented real-time power management solution which applies Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning to deliver a fast and tangible return on investment.

Rick is an active participant with the MIT Sloan School of Management and the MIT Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory (CSAIL) with a specific focus on AI and the implications it can have on business strategies.

He also has a creative side and is a wine enthusiast, which led him to become the Co-Founder of San Francisco based Bay Area Wine Cellars.

Rick has lived in the San Francisco Bay Area for the past 30 years and in his spare time, he enjoys music, golf, motorcycle riding, cooking and traveling with his wife.
