Jordan Smith

Jordan Smith has extensive experience in the energy sector, currently serving as the Senior Vice President of Reservoir at X2 Resources since April 2025. Prior to this role, Jordan worked at Jefferies as a Senior Vice President in Energy Investment Banking from December 2015 to April 2025. Earlier positions include Associate Reservoir Engineer at BHP, where responsibilities included reservoir surveillance and optimization in major shale plays, as well as roles as a Reservoir Engineering Intern and Production Engineering Intern at BHP, focusing on reservoir development and nodal analysis. Jordan began the career in 2009 as an Engineering Intern at Venoco. Academic credentials include a Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering and a Master’s degree in Engineering Technology Management, both from the Colorado School of Mines.
