Dave Ortiz

Dave Ortiz is the Chief Technology Officer at X8 LLC, overseeing internal development, technical innovation proposals, and talent management in the cybersecurity sector since October 2017. Previously, Ortiz held the position of VP - Federal Services, where unique military and government cyber expertise was leveraged to provide innovative solutions for clients in the U.S. Government and private industry. With a 20-year tenure in the Air Force Reserve, Ortiz has served as an air battle manager, intelligence analyst, physicist, and cyber operations officer, providing technical support to the 16AF/AFCYBER Forward office. Earlier experiences include ownership of Modern Heraldry Company LLC, where educational resources on heraldry were offered, and acting as an Action Officer on the Joint Staff, managing national-level cyber policy. Ortiz holds a Master of Science in Computer and Information Systems Security from Norwich University and completed additional education at the USAF Air Command and Staff College and Norwich University in Physics and Information Assurance.
