Joint-stock Commercial Xalq Bank of the Republic of Uzbekistan is one of the oldest banks in the country. 
The first savings bank was opened in 1875 in Tashkent. 
In accordance with Government resolution of October 4, 1995 year "Uzsberbank" has been transformed into the State Commercial Xalq Bank. 
Based on the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan from April 24, 2015 year № PD-4720 "About the measures on implementing modern corporate governance practices in joint-stock companies", the name of the Bank changed to Joint-stock commercial Xalq Banki. 
Nowadays, JSC Xalq banki is a modern universal bank which provides traditional and online banking services to individuals as well as corporates.
