Lance Essner

Lance Essner has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of design. Lance started their career as a Design Intern at Red Letter Communications, where they created artwork for various clients and collaborated with art directors and designers to develop visual materials.

Lance then moved on to work as a Graphic Designer at Saint Francis Medical Center, where they played a key role in implementing successful marketing campaigns and generating significant revenue for breast cancer awareness. Lance also worked closely with physicians and marketing teams and directly interacted with clients.

Lance then joined Epic as a Visual Designer and User Experience Designer. In this role, they collaborated with a large team to design healthcare applications and conducted user research to enhance the overall user experience. Lance also created wireframes, prototypes, and mockups and participated in all aspects of the design process.

After Epic, Lance worked at Quokka as a Product Designer, focusing on designing innovative products. Lance then joined Loaded Money, where they developed a marketing website and designed a banking web app with blockchain and protocol integration.

Lance has also been a Product Designer at both August and XALT, where they have been responsible for conducting user research, creating wireframes and prototypes, and collaborating with development teams to deliver intuitive and engaging user experiences. Lance has managed design projects from conception to launch and mentored junior designers.

Throughout their career, Lance has demonstrated a strong skill set in user experience design, visual design, and project management. Lance has experience working on various platforms, including desktop, mobile, web apps, and smart TVs.

Lance Essner began their education at Notre Dame High School, where they completed their secondary education from 2007 to 2011. Following that, they attended the University of Missouri-Columbia from 2011 to 2015, earning a Bachelor of Fine Arts (B.F.A.) degree in Graphic Design. During their time at the university, Lance also obtained minors in Intercultural/Multicultural and Diversity Studies, as well as Art History. Additionally, they acquired several certifications, including the Grace Hill and Fair Housing Certification from EdR Collegiate Housing in June 2014, and the Google Analytics Individual Qualification from Google in May 2019. Lance also holds certifications in various Epic software modules such as Cupid, Optime, Quality Assurance, Radiant, and Reporting, although the specific dates of obtaining these certifications are not specified.
