Simona Pencea

Simona Pencea has worked in the software engineering industry since 2005. Simona began their career as a Software Engineer at Freescale Semiconductor in 2005. From 2007 to 2011, they worked as a Software Development Engineer - Safety Critical Systems at Thales Rail Signalling Solutions. Simona then moved to Luxoft, where they worked as a Firmware Development Engineer - Storage Systems from 2011 to 2017. In 2017, Simona began working as a Software Development Engineer at Amazon Web Services (AWS). Simona is currently employed as a Software Engineer at Xata.io, a position they have held since 2022.

Simona Pencea completed their Bachelor of Science in Automatica si Calculatoare at the University POLITEHNICA of Bucharest from 2001 to 2006. Before that, they attended the Colegiul National Anastasescu from 1997 to 2001, where they obtained a 9.97 / 10 in Physics, Mathematics, Languages etc. Simona Pencea also holds several certifications, such as the Goethe Zertifikat B2 from the Goethe Institut, obtained in August 2014, as well as certifications from Coursera in Computational Neuroscience, Introduction to Data Science, The Hardware/Software Interface, Natural Language Processing, and Model Thinking, obtained between 2012 and 2013.
