Andy Ward has a diverse and extensive work experience. Andy has held various positions in different companies throughout their career.

In 1996, they worked as a Senior Analyst Programmer at Spark Response, where they developed a variety of systems and applications.

In 2000, Andy joined 4Projects as a Web Application Developer and Lead Developer. Andy was responsible for designing and developing the 4Projects extranet product from scratch, and they played a key role in its success as a true SaaS application.

Andy transitioned to the role of Systems Development Manager at 4Projects in 2001 and later became a Technical Architect in 2003, where they initiated and led the program to redevelop 4Projects using ASP.NET and C#.

In 2005, they worked as a Consultant at Edenbrook, engaging in various projects around the country, and also as a Technical Manager at Caspian Learning.

From 2006 to 2010, Andy worked at Sage UK as a Development Team Lead, where they were responsible for the 'Platform' components of Sage 200 ERP and the wider architecture of the Sage 200 suite.

In 2010, they returned to 4Projects as the Chief Technology Officer, leading a team and improving the SaaS product by introducing agile tools and processes and establishing secure development practices.

Andy joined the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) in 2016 as a Digital Delivery Manager, where they managed an internal team and ensured the development and testing of intranet and social collaboration capabilities for DWP's internal users.

In 2015, they worked as a Director at BIM Circuit Ltd and also as a Web Developer at the North of England Commissioning Support on a short-term contract, enhancing digital services for NHS staff using ASP.NET MVC and AngularJS.

Lastly, Andy is currently the Chief Executive Officer of xbim Ltd, a position they assumed in January 2021. Andy is also a Director at the company since May 2017.

From 1992 to 1995, Andy Ward attended Newcastle University, where they studied Micro-electronics and Software Engineering. No degree name is specified for this period.
