Yan Tan

Yan Tan began their career in 2011 as a Research Assistant at the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard. In 2012, they became an Intern at Biogen Idec. In 2015, Yan Tan held two positions: Field Engineer at Tamr Inc. and Data Science Fellow at Insight Data Science. In 2016, they became an Early Stage Investor at FreeS Fund. In 2017, Yan Tan became the Co-founder and CEO of Shenzhen Xbiome Biotechnology Co., Ltd.

Yan Tan's education history includes a BS from Peking University in Biotechnology from 2005 to 2009, a Ph.D. from Boston University in the Bioinformatics Program from 2010 to 2015, and a Ph.D. from the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard in Bioinformatics and Computational Biology from 2011 to 2015. Additionally, Yan Tan obtained a certification in Compilers from Coursera in July 2012 and is currently working towards a certification in Algorithms: Design and Analysis, Part 1 from Coursera.
