Arthur Baars is a skilled research engineer currently employed at XBOW since November 2025, with previous experience as a senior software engineer at GitHub from September 2019 to November 2025. Prior to GitHub, Arthur served as lead software engineer and engineering manager at Semmle from February 2013 to December 2019, and also held a software engineer position. Earlier in the academic career, Arthur was a researcher at Universitat Politècnica de València (UPV) from September 2007 to December 2012, contributing to the EU-funded EvoTest project focused on employing meta-heuristic algorithms for generating test data for software testing.
