Daniel Wagner is an experienced engineer currently working at XBOW since January 2025. Prior to this role, Daniel served as a Principal Engineer and Staff Engineer at Dropbox from February 2014 to December 2024, where significant contributions were made following the acquisition of Loom, a company co-founded by Daniel in 2011 and incubated through Y Combinator W12. Earlier experience includes research assistant roles at the University of Cambridge and Technische Universität Darmstadt, with a focus on mobile device development and location-enabled services. Daniel began a software development career at Gameforge AG, contributing to the creation of browser-based online games. Academically, Daniel holds a PhD in Computer Science from the University of Cambridge, as well as Master’s degrees in Human-Computer Interaction from Carnegie Mellon University and Universidade da Madeira, and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Technische Universität Darmstadt.
