Design at Xcel Brands

C.C has a diverse range of work experience in the fashion industry. C began their career as a Pattern Intern at Shanon Pamaong in 2010. C then went on to work as a Volunteer for the Fusion Fashion Show: Parsons vs. FIT, where they handled model measurements, fittings, and assisted with marketing and public relations.

In 2012, C.C interned at Victoria's Secret as a Design Intern for the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show, sourcing fabrics and trims. C also interned at Tracy Reese, working directly with Tracy Reese and their design team on flats, textile designs, and fabric and trim manipulation.

C.C continued their internships at Carolina Herrera in 2013, where they proactively worked on the design team for multiple collections, assisting with fabric manipulation samples and expediting sample production.

In 2014, they interned at Marchesa, working on pattern making, draping, exploring fabric manipulation ideas, and assisting with collection shoots.

C.C then pursued their BFA in Fashion Design at Parsons The New School for Design from 2011 to 2015.

In 2015, they had multiple internships including J. Mendel, where they worked with the Director of Fur Development, coordinating the production of fur and embroidery samples and developing patterns for seasonal collections. C also worked at The Natori Company, collaborating with Senior Designers and Brand Managers, contributing embellishment and fabric manipulation techniques, and coordinating with overseas factories for collection development.

Lastly, in the same year, C.C worked at Xcel Brands, Inc., using Adobe Illustrator to sketch collection pieces, operating Microsoft Excel to develop tech packs, and implementing a cataloguing and referencing system for fabrics and colors used by different departments.

C C's education history begins with graduating from Assumption San Lorenzo in 2009, where they obtained their high school diploma. Following this, from 2009 to 2011, C C attended Ateneo de Manila University, majoring in Communications Technology Management and earning a Bachelor of Science degree. Subsequently, from 2011 to 2015, they pursued their passion for fashion design at Parsons School of Design, completing a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Fashion Design. Additionally, C C briefly attended the Fashion Institute of the Philippines from 2005 to 2007, although no degrees or specific field of study were obtained during this period.
