John Goodenough

John Goodenough is a seasoned professional in energy forecasting and demand analysis, currently serving as the Director of Sales, Energy, and Demand Forecasting at Xcel Energy since October 2019. Prior to this role, John held key positions including Manager of Energy and Revenue Analysis/Forecasting at Arizona Public Service from November 2016 to October 2019, Short-Term Demand Forecaster at Southern California Edison from July 2014 to October 2016, and Supervisor of Forecasting at Baltimore Gas & Electric from June 2010 to June 2014. John's earlier experience includes roles as a Regulatory Affairs Analyst at PHI, where logistic regression models for forecasting were developed, and as an Economist at the Bureau of Labor Statistics, focusing on retail and service industry metrics. John earned a PhD in Economics from the University of Delaware and a BA in Economics from the University of Maryland.
