Patrick Murphy

Patrick Murphy is an experienced manager specializing in program policy at Xcel Energy since April 2019, focusing on Clean Transportation, Renewable Energy, and Demand Side Management/Beneficial Electrification initiatives across Colorado, New Mexico, and Texas. Prior roles include Manager of Clean Transportation Strategy and Policy, multiple regulatory positions at Boulder County Public Health, working with local and state agencies on environmental evaluations, and assisting Colorado Parks and Wildlife with internal policy reviews. Patrick also contributed to policy research and legislative analysis for the Colorado Governor's Office and gained initial experience in advocacy as an Energy Intern at the Colorado Environmental Coalition. Patrick holds a Master’s in Public Administration with a focus on Environmental Policy, Management, and Law from the University of Colorado Denver, and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Government from Metropolitan State College of Denver.
