Daniel Edwan has extensive work experience in various roles within the military and defense sectors. Daniel most recently worked as a Senior Operations Analyst and Senior Strategic Planner for the Defense Threat Reduction Agency. Prior to that, they served as Chief of NATO Policy Division for The Joint Staff and Chief of Operations for the US Army. Daniel also worked as a Senior Joint Combatant Command Exercise Planner and Deputy Desk Officer for The Joint Staff, and as Commander of the United Nations Command Security Battalion for United States Forces Korea.

Daniel Edwan has an extensive education history. In 1991, they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree from The University of Texas at Arlington. Daniel furthered their education by earning a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Webster University in 2008. From 2007 to 2008, Daniel attended the U.S. Army School of Advanced Military Studies (SAMS) where they obtained a Masters of Military Arts and Sciences degree, specializing in Grand Strategy, Operational Art and Design.

In 2006, Daniel enrolled in the U.S. Army Command and General Staff College, completing studies in Military Science and Operational Studies, specifically Joint Operational Planning and Strategy. Additionally, they attended the Joint Forces Staff College, National Defense University, as a graduate in Joint Professional Military Education II in 2014.

Most recently, in 2016, Daniel was a National Security Fellow at Yale University, studying Grand Strategy at the Jackson Institute for Global Affairs. Daniel also holds a Joint Qualified (Military) Officer - Level 3 certification from the United States Department of Defense, obtained in June 2016. Furthermore, Daniel possesses a TS/SCI: Top Secret Clearance, although the specific details of its acquisition are not provided.
