Hamza Khan

Hamza Khan is an experienced professional in hardware and software engineering, currently serving as Processor Design Lead at Xcelerium since June 2020. Previously, as a Graduate Researcher at University of California, Los Angeles, Hamza developed an FPGA overlay processor for efficient low-power inference of natural language processing models for real-time applications. Hamza's experience includes roles as a Hardware Engineer at EdgeQ Inc., where a highly parallel vector Compute Unit was implemented, and as a Software Development Engineer Intern at Amazon, focused on building a secure platform for transaction anomaly detection. Additionally, earlier roles included hardware verification and research in machine learning at UC Irvine, contributing to projects involving autonomous vehicles and manufacturing systems. Hamza holds a Master of Science in Electrical and Computer Engineering from UCLA and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering from UC Irvine.
