Carl Tydingco has over 25 years of work experience. In 1991, they began working as a Government Employee for the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency. In 1997, they moved on to become a Software Developer at Citigroup. In 1999, they took on the role of Web Development Engineer at Netzip, Inc. In 2000, they became a Software Development Engineer at RealNetworks. In 2001, they were promoted to Lead Software Development Engineer at MusicNet. In 2005, they joined Smilebox, Inc. as a Lead Software Engineer, where they worked on every part of the application stack from the server to the desktop to the phone and led the development of Smilebox for iPhone from the initial prototype to v3. In 2012, they moved to Rhapsody International as a Software Developer. Most recently, in 2013, they co-founded xDJs and is currently building an app with C. Y. Lee called Crush.

Carl Tydingco received their BBA from Georgia State University between 1987 and 1991. Carl then went on to receive their MS from Georgia Institute of Technology between 1995 and 1997.
