John Boursnell has extensive work experience in the IT industry. John is currently serving as the Chief Technology Officer at XE.com since January 2021. Prior to this role, they worked at epay, a Euronet Worldwide Company for over 16 years. During their tenure at epay, John held various positions and was progressively promoted. John started as an IT Support Analyst in September 2004, where they configured new digital products and services and performed systems administration. In June 2006, they became an IT Operations Project Manager, leading process improvement projects and drafting business proposals. In December 2007, they were promoted to IT Operations Manager, responsible for technical projects, support systems, and customer liaison. Lastly, in October 2011, John was promoted to Head of IT, where they led the PMO, Development, Operations, Infrastructure, and QA functions, guiding strategic decision-making and facilitating global projects.
John Boursnell completed their education at Anglia Ruskin University from 2000 to 2004, where they obtained a Bsc (Hons) (1st Class) in Business Information Systems. Prior to that, they attended The Billericay School from 1998 to 2000, although the field of study is not specified. In addition to their educational background, John has obtained several certifications, including Chartered IT Professional (CITP) from BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT in May 2018, TOGAF 9 Certified (Enterprise Architecture) from The Open Group in November 2017, Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) from (ISC)² in June 2016, PRINCE2 Foundation and Practitioner from BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT in 2014, and ITIL Service Management from BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT in 2012.
