Andrew Vance has worked as a Software Engineer since 2016. Andrew began their career at Liberty IT Solutions, where they successfully executed numerous Department of Veterans Affairs software contracts as a full-stack developer, working closely with team members using Agile/Scrum development practices. Andrew revolutionized patients' access to healthcare and benefits information by integrating SQL relational databases and legacy data stores with modern REST APIs, powered by Spring Boot (Java) microservice architecture and HL7 FHIR. Andrew also improved team's engagement and collaboration by architecting Slack bots powered by Node. In 2019, they moved to Alaska Airlines as a Senior Software Engineer, where they delivered Product Owners' business goals as a full-stack developer on a Scrum team, participating in biweekly sprints and ceremonies, resulting in a world class booking experience. Andrew modernized legacy end-user facing systems using React (TypeScript/JavaScript) on the frontend with .NET Core (C#) microservices on the backend. In 2022, they joined Dell Technologies as a Principal Software Engineer, where they implemented customer-facing web apps utilizing a micro frontend architecture, powered by LitElement (TypeScript), processing billions of dollars of revenue annually. Andrew also integrated presentation layer with REST API microservices as data layer, written in .NET Core (C#). Andrew is currently employed at Xealth as a Software Engineer.
