Robert Bergs

Robert Bergs has a strong background in software development and project management. Robert is currently serving as the Vice President of Engineering at Xelix, where they lead a team of front and back end engineers and ensures their productivity and satisfaction. Previously, they worked as a Software Developer at Xelix.

Prior to Xelix, Robert worked at Interactive Brokers Asset Management, where they held the positions of Developer/Project Manager and Senior Business Analyst. In these roles, they were involved in web development using Java, Groovy, Spring, and Angular. Robert also coordinated activities between the development team and other departments, managed feature requests, and oversaw the development process.

Before their time at Interactive Brokers, Robert served as the Head of Software Engineering at Digitalis Media Ltd. and as a Business Analyst at Maglabs. Robert also gained experience at Mintel, where they worked as a Product Manager, Development Team Leader, and Graduate Analyst Developer. Additionally, they worked as a Software Toolsmith at ARGO and as a Web Developer at Swift Global.

Overall, Robert has a diverse work experience, showcasing their expertise in software development, project management, team leadership, and coordination of development processes.

Robert Bergs has a strong educational background in computer science and business analysis. Robert obtained a BSc in Computer Science from the University of Southampton, where they studied from 1997 to 2001. Robert then pursued further education in business analysis and obtained an ISEB Diploma in Business Analysis from the Information Systems Examinations Board in 2009-2010. To complement their business skills, Robert also completed a BA in Business Studies with Economics from The Open University, studying from 2001 to 2007.

In addition to their degrees, Robert has acquired a certification as an AWS Certified Developer - Associate from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in March 2021.
