David Szymkowski

Vice President, Preclinical Operations at Xencor

David Szymkowski has extensive work experience in the biopharmaceutical industry. David is currently the Vice President of Preclinical Operations at Xencor, a company focused on developing antibody and protein biotherapeutics for improving patient outcomes. Prior to this role, they held the position of Vice President of Cell Biology at Xencor since 2002.

Before joining Xencor, David worked at Roche Pharmaceuticals as a Principal Research Scientist for nearly a decade, starting in 1993. David also served as a Postdoctoral Scientist at the Imperial Cancer Research Fund from 1990 to 1993.

David Szymkowski obtained their Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Biology from The Johns Hopkins University, where they attended from 1980 to 1983. Following this, they pursued further education and completed their PhD in Molecular & Cell Biology at Penn State University, maintaining their enrollment from 1983 to 1990.
