Rey Guerrero

Principal Engineer at XENDEE

Rey Guerrero has a diverse work experience in various roles related to renewable energy and engineering. Rey recently joined XENDEE as a Senior Microgrid Engineer in April 2022. Prior to that, from 2011 to the present, they have been a Board Member and Principal Consultant at SolarSolutions, Inc., where they focus on designing solar energy systems for homes and communities and conducting research and development to improve efficiency and affordability.

Before their current role, Rey worked as a Senior Staff Engineer at Maxeon Solar Technologies from October 2019 to April 2022. Rey also held the positions of Head of Operations and Systems Application Engineer at SolarSolutions from April 2014 to October 2019. During this time, they played a crucial role in overseeing operations and ensuring the smooth functioning of solar systems.

Rey has also worked as an Affiliate at Berkeley Lab in April 2018 and as a Staff Engineer at SunPower Corporation from January 2010 to March 2014. At SunPower, they contributed to maintaining compliance with company standards for reliability and efficiency of new technologies introduced in the Fab. Rey also conducted simulations, modeling, and failure analysis of solar cells.

Prior to their work in renewable energy, Rey gained experience as a Product Analysis Engineer at Analog Devices from May 2008 to January 2010 and as a Design Engineer at Blue Chip Designs, Inc. from May 2007 to April 2008. These roles helped him develop a strong foundation in engineering.

From 2015 to 2019, Rey Guerrero attended the University of the Philippines and earned a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering.

In 2010 to 2011, they studied at Ateneo de Manila University and obtained a Master of Science (MS) degree in Electronics Engineering.

Rey Guerrero pursued their Master's degree in Electrical Engineering from 2008 to 2010 at the University of the Philippines, Diliman.

Between 2002 and 2007, they attended Ateneo de Manila University and completed their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Electronics and Communications Engineering.

From 1998 to 2002, Rey Guerrero completed their high school education, obtaining a diploma in Secondary Education from Xavier University - Ateneo de Cagayan.
