Gary Bell serves as Vice President at TRISO-X, LLC since December 2022, overseeing TRISO coated particle-based nuclear fuel for advanced reactors. Prior to this role, Gary held the position of Director of TRISO-X Facility Design & Integration at X Energy, LLC from August 2018. Gary's extensive experience includes leadership as Group Leader of the Plasma Technology & Applications Group at Oak Ridge National Laboratory from 1992 until July 2018, focusing on fusion and materials for nuclear systems. Gary obtained a Doctor of Philosophy in Plasma Physics from Auburn University in 1990 and a Bachelor's degree in Physics from the same institution in 1983.
