Joel Duling

Joel Duling currently serves as President of TRISO-X at X-energy, where efforts focus on the commercialization of proprietary TRISO fuel. With extensive experience in the nuclear industry, previous roles include Associate Laboratory Director and Deputy Director/Chief Projects Officer at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory, and President of the Nuclear Operations Group at BWX Technologies, overseeing operations for 4,400 employees. Duling also led Nuclear Fuel Services, contributing to national security by manufacturing nuclear fuel and achieving significant safety milestones. Additional positions held encompass Vice President of Production at B&W Y-12 LLC, Director at Idaho National Laboratory, and senior management roles at SAIC, Fluor Corporation, and Lockheed Martin. Duling holds an MBA in Organizational Leadership from Auburn University and degrees in Applied Nuclear Energy and Chemistry/Biophysical Systems.
