John Girvan

John Girvan is a highly experienced software engineer with a strong background in various programming technologies and methodologies. Currently serving as a Staff Engineer at Xero since February 2022, John has also held leadership roles including Lead Software Engineer at Seequent from September 2014 to February 2022, and Analyst Programmer at MWH from January 2011 to August 2014. Earlier experience includes a position as Analyst Programmer at Foodstuffs (South Island) Ltd from September 2005 to January 2011. John possesses expertise in Python, Containers, Kubernetes, Azure, ASP.NET MVC/WebAPI, and data manipulation, alongside a BSc in Computer Science from the University of Otago.
