Mel Brown is an experienced professional in sales readiness and finance, currently serving as the Head of Global Sales Readiness at Xero since August 2016. In this capacity, Mel leads global operations for customer changes and ensures partner sales teams have timely knowledge to adapt effectively. Previous roles at Xero include Head of GTM Execution for the APAC region and various positions focused on strategic initiatives, partner relations, and product positioning. Prior to Xero, Mel held finance management positions at Fuse Wine Services and SpaceNK, with responsibilities including financial reporting, budget preparation, and cash flow forecasting. Mel's career also includes experience as a Business Adviser and Accountant with a specialization in taxation and superannuation. Educational qualifications include a Graduate Diploma of Chartered Accountancy from Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand and a Commerce degree from the University of Adelaide.
