Michael Cascone is the Vice President of Government Relations and Public Policy for the Americas at Xero, a position held in 2023. They previously founded and served as the Senior Director of the Scale-Up Institute Toronto from 2019 to 2021. Currently, Michael chairs and serves as treasurer for the Economic Development Advisory Committee at the Corporation of the Township of Scugog. Their prior experience includes roles at Industry Canada and the Ontario Ministry of Economic Development, Job Creation and Trade, where they focused on innovation and automotive sectors. Michael holds a BA (Hons.) in Political Studies from Queen's University and a Master of Science in Comparative Political Economy from the London School of Economics and Political Science.
