Pirmin Schuermann

Pirmin Schuermann is an accomplished Principal Engineer at Xero since January 2019, previously serving as Lead Engineer and DevOps Engineer, and has also acted as an advisor for Jeli. Prior to Xero, Pirmin held roles at ITFoundry as a DevOps Software Developer and at Leonteq as a DevOps Consultant, where responsibilities included integration within a cross-functional product team. Notably, achievements include developing a proof of concept utilizing Amazon Elastic Container Service for cloud-based solutions. Earlier career experience at UBS involved significant contributions in cloud engineering and system integration, as well as various engineering roles focused on automation and deployment. Early experience includes positions as a Linux System Engineer and Electronics Engineer Apprentice. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Zurich University of Applied Sciences and a Federal Vocational Baccalaureate.
