Tim Burt currently serves as the Head of Group Accounting at Xero since April 2024. Prior experience includes roles at De Beers Group as Sustainability Reporting Manager and Group Financial Reporting Coordinator from February 2017 to April 2024, as well as Finance Manager at Houlihan Lokey from July 2016 to January 2017. Tim Burt began a career in auditing at KPMG New Zealand from March 2012 to April 2016, specializing in clients within the Energy, Oil and Gas, and Infrastructure sectors, and completed a short-term secondment as Audit Senior at KPMG Nederland from December 2014 to April 2015. Academic qualifications include a Bachelor of Commerce with Honours in Accounting and Information Systems from the University of Canterbury, designation as a Chartered Accountant from Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand, and completion of studies in Sustainable Finance at the University of Cambridge's Institute for Sustainability Leadership.
