Jonathan McCracken has a strong background in software development and digital transformation. Jonathan co-founded Xerris Inc. in 2018, serving as the Co-Founder, Chief Technology Officer, and Director. Jonathan specializes in cloud-native architectures and has worked with Fortune 500 clients to help them break down technical barriers and reimagine their business for the digital-first consumer.

Prior to Xerris, Jonathan worked at Nexicon Software Ltd. from 2012 to 2021, where they were a Solution Architect and Technical Lead. Jonathan focused on microservice architecture and worked on multi-million dollar initiatives that allowed companies to modernize their applications and be more responsive to business and market changes.

Jonathan also has experience at ThoughtWorks Inc., where they held various roles from 2005 to 2012. Jonathan served as a Program Manager, leading strategic change initiatives, and later became the Director of Services for Canada. In this role, they managed business development, resource management, talent development, and financial planning, while leveraging Agile software delivery in client projects.

Earlier in their career, Jonathan worked as a Software Developer at White Iron Ltd. in 2004, where they contributed to the development of online pharmacy platforms and implemented Agile methodologies.

Overall, Jonathan McCracken has a strong track record of driving digital transformation, providing technical leadership, and delivering successful software projects for a range of clients.

Jonathan McCracken attended the University of Calgary from 1999 to 2001, where they pursued a Bachelor's degree in Biology/Biological Sciences. Prior to that, in 1998, they briefly attended Queen's University but did not earn a degree. In terms of certifications, Jonathan obtained several in the field of cloud computing. In 2019, they acquired the Amazon Web Services (AWS) Solution Architect Associate and AWS Cloud Practitioner certifications. In 2020, they obtained certifications from Google (Professional Cloud Architect), HashiCorp (Terraform Associate), and AWS (AWS Solutions Architect - Professional). Finally, in 2021, they obtained the Microsoft Certified: Azure Developer Associate certification.
