Richard Hurst

Richard Hurst has a strong background in software development and architecture, with extensive experience in various companies and roles. Richard currently serves as the Director of Software Development at Xerris Inc., starting in May 2020. Prior to that, they were a Senior Software Architect at Nutrien Solutions since September 2019. Richard also worked as an Independent Software Developer at Ambivalent Solutions from September 2006.

Before joining Xerris Inc., Richard worked as a Software Consultant at Wovin Technologies from September 2018 to May 2020. From July 2017 to August 2018, they held the position of Tech Lead at Shaw. Richard was the Lead Software Architect at TransCanada from November 2015 to March 2017, and at Zaio Corp. from March 2015 to November 2015.

Richard Hurst attended the University of Calgary from an unspecified start year until 1995, where they pursued a B.Sc. degree in Biochemistry. Following this, they enrolled in the same university from 1995 to 1997, completing their studies with a B.Sc. in Computer Science.
