David Sanders

David Sanders has a rich work experience spanning over several years. Currently, they serve as the Vice President of Data Engineering at Xevant since January 2023. Before that, they co-founded Carve in November 2020 and held the position of Chief Operating Officer (COO).

Prior to their entrepreneurial venture, David worked at Cedar as a Senior Engineering Manager from February 2022 to August 2022. David also contributed significantly to Vivint Smart Home, where they held the position of Senior Manager of Data Warehouse and BI Engineering from December 2018 to February 2022.

Before joining Vivint, David worked at Align BI as a Senior Consultant, contributing to the company from September 2016 to December 2018. David gained experience in the sports industry as the Director of Business Intelligence for the New England Patriots from March 2015 to September 2016.

David got their start in the industry at Ancestry.com in 2007, where they held various roles such as Senior Manager of Data Warehousing and Visualization, Manager of ETL, Senior Business Intelligence Developer, and QA Engineer.

Furthermore, David started their career at Xactware as a Quality Assurance Engineer from May 2005 to March 2007, where they played a crucial role in software testing and defect tracking for estimating insurance claims.

Throughout their career, David has demonstrated their expertise in data engineering, management, business intelligence, and quality assurance across diverse organizations, making him a valuable asset in the field.

David Sanders completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Information Systems at Utah Valley University from 2006 to 2008. David later pursued a Masters of Information Systems, specializing in Data, at the University of Utah - David Eccles School of Business from 2010 to 2011.
