Jared Demott

Jared DeMott, Ph.D., is a seasoned professional in the field of cybersecurity, currently serving as the Sr. Director of Global Security and Head of Innovation & Research at UKG since March 2025. With expertise gained from key roles at Microsoft, where Jared led the Cloud Vulnerability and Mitigations Team, and Amazon as Lead Security Architect, Jared brings extensive hands-on experience and leadership in technology. As the Founder and CEO of VDA Labs, Jared has successfully overseen consulting services and team management, while also contributing to the security industry through various educational platforms, including authorship of security training courses and mentoring PhD candidates at Dakota State University. Jared's academic credentials include a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Michigan State University, an MS from The Johns Hopkins University, and a BS from Ferris State University.
