Ran Alcalay is a seasoned entrepreneur with extensive leadership experience in technology and digital rights management. Currently, as Co-Founder and CEO of Xfloat since January 2018, Alcalay focuses on developing innovative technologies to enhance energy output in floating photovoltaic projects. Previously, Alcalay served as Co-Founder and Director at ETrading Logic Ltd. from January 2008 to January 2017, where a proprietary trading tool was created for global market timing. Among other notable roles, Alcalay was Co-Founder and CEO of Beamups Ltd., which specialized in R&D and IP licensing for audio-visual content technologies, and Vice President of Worldwide Sales at Macrovision Corp., a leader in digital rights management technologies. Early career highlights include founding Midbar Tech Ltd., which developed content protection technologies, and leading Tiltan 3D Technologies Ltd. in the development of gaming software.
