Mike Smith

Mike Smith is a distinguished academic and industry advisor, currently serving as a Senior Fellow at Axim Collaborative since July 2025. With a long-standing tenure at Harvard University, Mike holds multiple titles, including John H. Finley, Jr. Professor of Engineering and Applied Sciences, Harvard University Distinguished Service Professor, and Edgerley Family Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Sciences. Mike has also been actively involved in various advisory roles at organizations such as SoWork and Kira Learning since May 2022, and as a board member at Peddie School and GSV Ventures since June 2019. An alumnus of Stanford University, Mike earned a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, building on a solid educational foundation with degrees from WPI and Princeton University. Notably, Mike is the founder of Liquid Machines and has contributed to multiple advisory boards, showcasing a commitment to innovation and leadership in engineering and applied sciences.
