André Gonçalves

André Gonçalves has a diverse work experience in various roles and companies. André is currently working as an Engineering Manager at xgeeks since September 2022. Prior to that, they worked at INTK where they held multiple roles. From August 2016 to July 2022, they were an Engineering Lead, responsible for leading multiple software projects and modernizing data analytics for several organizations. From August 2014 to August 2016, they worked as a Lead Software Engineer, involved in frontend, backend, and infrastructure development. André also led major migrations of projects to GCP and AWS.

Before joining INTK, André worked at INESC as a Lead Software Engineer from February 2013 to August 2014. In this role, they co-led and managed a development team and contributed to the creation of a start-up called SPERO. André also worked as an R&D Software Engineer during this time, focusing on georeferenced web interfaces and decision support systems.

André began their career as a Freelance Software Engineer, working for companies such as jeKnowledge, Whitestudio, and INTK. André was involved in various projects, including the development of a digitized map interaction platform, a web platform for homesteads, and work as a member of Coimbra's junior enterprise, JeKnowledge.

André Gonçalves obtained a Master's degree in Informatics Engineering from the Universidade de Coimbra, which they pursued from 2012 to 2014. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Informatics Engineering at the same university from 2009 to 2013. In addition to their formal education, André also holds a certification in Digital Leadership from Growth Tribe, although the specific date of attainment is not provided.
