Jian Luan is currently the Senior Director of Natural Language Processing at Xiaomi Technology, where they focus on human-computer dialogue, machine translation, and large models. Previously, Jian served as the Director of Speech Synthesis Technology at Xiaomi and as the Chief Voice Scientist at Microsoft Xiaoice, where they built a team to support various speech technologies. With over 15 years devoted to the speech field, Jian's research interests include speech synthesis, speaker and language identification, and speech recognition. Prior to their roles at Xiaomi and Microsoft, Jian worked as a researcher at Toshiba, specializing in speaker recognition before shifting to Mandarin TTS.
