Mohsen Abdoli

Mohsen Abdoli is a Senior Staff Engineer specializing in video standards at Xiaomi Technology since October 2023, with extensive experience in video coding research and standardization. Abdoli serves as an Adjunct Lecturer at both EPITA and ESIR, teaching advanced courses on ML-based video compression and image/video compression, respectively. Prior roles include Senior Standardization Engineer at IRT b-com, R&I Engineer at Ateme, and R&D Engineer at Orange and the University of Tehran, focusing on technologies such as VVC and AI-based multimedia forensics. Abdoli holds dual Doctorate degrees in Telecommunications Engineering and Signal and Image Processing from CentraleSupélec and Université Paris-Saclay, along with a Master’s degree in Artificial Intelligence from Sharif University of Technology and a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from the University of Tabriz.
