Zeyu L. is an accomplished robotics engineer with extensive experience in designing and developing robotic systems. Currently serving as the Dexterous Hand R&D Lead at Xiaomi Technology since October 2025, Zeyu previously held roles at Tesla from June 2023 to October 2025, focusing on the Tesla Bot and Optimus Hand with a concentration on dexterous grasping, manipulation, and tactile sensing. Earlier experience includes a research attachment at A*STAR Research, where Zeyu developed a machine learning algorithm for robotic swab testing and improved tactile sensor designs. Zeyu's expertise is complemented by a Doctor of Philosophy in Mechatronics, Robotics, and Automation Engineering from the National University of Singapore, alongside educational experiences at The University of British Columbia, The Johns Hopkins University, and Tsinghua University.
