Qing Li has held several positions in the fields of computer science and biomedical imaging. From 2011 to present, they have been a Software Engineer at Xignite and a Research Intern at Nokia Research Center. From 2007 to 2010, they were a Research/Teaching Assistant at the Department of Computer Science at the University of Houston, where they worked on research topics in computer animation, game development, and computer vision areas, as well as teaching courses in Computer Animation, Data Structures & Algorithms, Computer Graphics, Interactive Game Development, and Introduction to Computer Science. From 2008 to 2010, they were a Research Fellow at The Methodist Hospital System, where they developed algorithms to detect, segment, and track objects in 3D microscopy images.
Qing Li obtained a B.E. in Computer Science from Beijing University of Chemical Technology in 2006. Qing then went on to pursue a M.A. in Computer Science from the University of Houston, which they completed in 2008. Finally, they completed their PhD in Computer Science from the University of Houston in 2011.
