PHD Student at XLIM

Bruno Chaves is a PhD student at XLIM, focusing on the spectro-temporal control and optimization of pulses in nonlinear fiber for microscopy since March 2022. Prior experience includes roles as a Research Intern in Nonlinear Optics at Universidade de Brasília, where Bruno Chaves researched MIMO SAR techniques, and as an Electromagnetics Researcher in a partnership with Vale mining company, investigating propagation models for Through-the-Earth communication. Additional positions include Research and Development Manager at IEEE ComSoc UnB, developing telecommunication algorithms, a signal processing researcher during an academic internship at Vysoké učení technické v Brně, and a Commercial Assistant at ENETEC, working on photovoltaic system sales. Bruno Chaves holds a Master's degree in Microwave Circuitry and Optics from Université de Limoges and a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from Universidade de Brasília.
