Matthieu Chafer has extensive experience in photonics and laser technology, with a focus on research and development. Matthieu served as an Ingénieur-Doctorant at XLIM from March 2015 to February 2018, working on the design and realization of micro-photonic capsules for laser systems and micro-machining applications. Matthieu also conducted research on laser-gas interactions in hollow-core optical fibers during a position as Ingénieur d'étude at XLIM. Prior experience includes a research internship at ISM, where Matthieu implemented second harmonic signals at the micron scale, and a technician internship at Université Politechnique Bucarest, focusing on nanometric scaling effects. Currently, Matthieu is an Ingénieur recherche/développement at GLOphotonics, with previous experience as a stagiaire at Legrand, conducting corrosion testing to improve correlation between tests and real environments.
